Day 1: Five Ways to win my Heart

So here we go, attempt number three at trying to get a blog started. I could look at it as "Wow I've failed two times so far at trying to write a blog and manage upkeep." But I'm looking at it with inspiration of my love for writing and putting my thoughts out there. So here's another attempt at a 30 day writing challenge to get me motivated and my writing juices activated!

So here's to day 1 of 30! Five ways to win my heart.... okay, get ready to be wowed by my totally sophisticated and complicated list. (For everyone reading, that's sarcasm).

1. Get me to laugh and smile. Seriously. It makes a world of difference to a girl if a guy has a great sense of humor and makes her laugh and smile when she's with him. While we're sitting around thinking about you, we'll think about all the times we've smiled when we're around you and spent hours laughing with you. It makes us associate being with you with happiness and fun. And who doesn't want to be with someone who's fun?!

2. Go to church and other activities with me. My job and my church family is a big part of my life. Of course, I want to be with a guy who shares the same values and beliefs that I do. But it's not just about sharing in those beliefs, I want a guy who comes with me to services and participates in activities with me. Who grows alongside me and we strengthen each other. This can be a very wary subject... I know too many girls and guys who have been heartbroken by someone they were dating or interested in pretending to be something they're not or claiming they shared the same beliefs when they really didn't.

3. Spend time with my family. I know that meeting someone else's family can be scary. And let's face it, Dads can be really scary. Throw in my huge older brothers, and it's like a horror movie directed straight for guys. But my family is one of the most important things to me, and I want them to know the guy and approve of him. To see that a guy can mold right along in to my family and not be scared away is a monumental win in to my heart!

4. Tell me how you feel. Not in a creepy, stalker way or anything. Girls hear from so many people in their life (They may tell you that they never do, but seriously there's so many creeps, friends, and family members out there who gush about how beautiful we are & wonder how we could ever be single), and the thing that really melts my heart is when a guy is open and honest about how he feels about me. That's something that makes a guy stand out, and shows that he's not just another guy giving compliments. If a guy is honest about how he feels about a girl, it makes her feel special and (at least for me) makes her feel like she's flying.

5. Movie nights and popcorn. My weekends are pretty much spent watching so much Netflix, and I'm obsessed with watching movies. They're so much better than t.v. (no commercials)! My perfect date night involves curling up on the couch with the fuzziest blanket imaginable, an assortment of movies in all different genres, and a big bowl of popcorn. Of course what really makes that perfect is cuddling up with someone special to spend it with. And if you can handle scary movies, that's extra bonus points in my book!
